This Privacy Policy explains how Chroma Tubes accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when You use the Application.

Definitions

  • Application means Chroma Tubes.
  • Developer (referred to as “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) means the developer identified on the Application's Google Play page.
  • Device means a phone, tablet, or other device on which You use the Application.
  • Personal Data means information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • You means the person using the Application.

Summary

Chroma Tubes has no advertising or in-app purchases, and its core gameplay is available offline without an account. The Application stores gameplay progress locally and uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. If You choose to sign in to Google Play Games, it also uses Play Games Services for achievements and cloud progress backup. These services process the information described below.

We do not sell Your Personal Data and do not use the information collected through the Application for advertising or personalised advertising.

Information Stored on Your Device

Chroma Tubes stores game progress, current puzzle state, completed levels, best move counts, earned achievements, extra-tube balances, tutorial status, and Application settings locally on Your Device.

You can remove local information by clearing the Application's data in Android settings or uninstalling the Application. If You use the optional Google Play Games cloud backup, clearing local data or uninstalling the Application does not by itself delete the copy stored through Your Play Games account.

Firebase Analytics

Chroma Tubes uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is used and to improve gameplay and reliability. Firebase Analytics automatically processes an Application-instance identifier, Application lifecycle and session events, approximate location derived from a masked IP address, and Application and Device information such as Application version, operating system, language, Device category, brand, model, and screen characteristics.

The Application also sends gameplay events such as level starts and completions, move counts, source and destination tube positions, colours moved, time spent, tutorial progress, level restarts and exits, use of earned extra tubes, and review-prompt events. These events do not contain Your name, email address, Play Games player ID, or the contents of Your Google Account.

The Application removes Android advertising-identifier permissions and disables advertising-identifier collection and ad-personalisation signals. Analytics information is used only for Application analytics and product improvement, not for advertising.

Firebase Crashlytics

Release versions of Chroma Tubes use Google Firebase Crashlytics to detect, diagnose, and fix crashes. When a crash or relevant error occurs, Crashlytics may process stack traces, relevant Application state, Device and Application metadata, installation and session identifiers, and diagnostic information. Crash reports may also include the Application version, build type, current level number, debug-preview status, and Analytics breadcrumb events immediately preceding a crash.

Optional Google Play Games Services

Signing in to Google Play Games is optional. You can use the complete core game without signing in. If You choose to sign in, Google authenticates Your Play Games profile and the Application temporarily accesses Your Play Games player ID. The player ID is kept in memory only and is not written to local storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, or a developer-operated server.

While You are signed in, the Application submits achievement status and progress to Google Play Games and stores a cloud-save snapshot associated with Your Play Games account. The snapshot can include completed-level count, current level, best move counts, earned and used extra tubes, tutorial status, discovered in-game secrets, achievement status, and an unfinished puzzle's board, move count, and remaining time. Google processes this information to provide authentication, achievements, and cloud backup and synchronisation.

Third-Party Processing

Firebase and Google Play Games Services are provided by Google. Information sent to these services is processed under the Google Privacy Policy and the applicable Google and Firebase terms. Information is encrypted in transit. We do not authorise these services to use Chroma Tubes data for personalised advertising.

Sharing

We do not sell Personal Data. Information is sent to Google only as needed to provide Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and the optional Play Games features described above, or when disclosure is required by law. Chroma Tubes does not include advertising SDKs or share data with advertising networks.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local information remains on Your Device until You clear the Application's data or uninstall it. Analytics and diagnostic information is retained according to the retention settings and deletion controls of the Developer's Firebase and Google Analytics accounts. Uninstalling the Application stops future collection but does not automatically erase information already processed by those services.

Optional Play Games achievements and cloud-save information are associated with Your Play Games account and can be managed using Google's Play Games profile and data controls. You may also contact the Developer using the details below with a privacy or deletion request.

Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the Application's data handling. Local information is protected by Android's application sandbox and applicable system access controls. Network connections use HTTPS where supported by the selected service. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children's Privacy

Chroma Tubes does not ask users to provide their age, name, email address, contact information, precise location, photos, or audio. Core gameplay is available without an account. Firebase may automatically process the limited identifiers, approximate location, usage information, and diagnostics described above for users of the Application. Advertising identifiers and personalised advertising are disabled.

A child should use the optional Google Play Games sign-in only with the authorisation and supervision of a parent or guardian and in accordance with Google's account and age requirements. A parent or guardian who has questions or believes that a child's information has been handled contrary to this Policy may contact the Developer using the details below.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Application's behaviour or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed.
